When determining where would be the most suitable place to relocate in Thailand, Bangkok is the place to be. The foremost things to take into consideration are logistics and transport, especially for those who are traveling with their children in tow.

Education will also play an active part in the decision for where the family will choose as a suitable location for a prosperous future for both the child and the adult.

There is an excellent variety of various schools to select between; some are opting for an American style of teaching while others are sticking to the British curriculum, and then there are other locations that employ a mix of different techniques that they have found works phenomena for their students and teachers combined.

Below is a list of the best international schools in Bangkok.

    An innovative international school

This school’s name cannot be revealed just yet due to conflict of interest, but it promises to be a good one when it opens its doors for enrollment in 2020.

This Bangkok international school’s curriculum is aligned with New York State’s Educational Standards for age 4-12 years. It is located in the Bang Na district of Bangkok and prides itself in hiring the best and qualified teachers from all over the world; offering students an excellent opportunity for not only learning, but exploring and understanding different cultures.

Furthermore, the school represents an ecosystem that interconnects spaces and buildings with the natural landscape, encouraging flow and movement, forming a combined and interdependent system of levels, zones, and areas where learning is limitless.

The school boasts a full-size grass soccer pitch, 50m Olympic standard indoor swimming pool, monolithic gymnasium, and fitness center, game design studio, parents lounge and co-working space.

    Regent’s International School

Located in Wangthonglang, this school offers British curriculum up to the age of 16, then adopt the International Baccalaureate curriculum from 16-18 years of age.

They accept children from age 2 – 18 years. The primary purpose of this school is to guide students into becoming responsible, informed, well-rounded, principled, and self-confident global citizens.

    Shrewsbury International School

At this school, languages taught are Thai, English, Mandarin, French, Japanese, and Spanish.

The school teaches the British curriculum to children age 3 – 18 years. The school also has a three-court sports hall, four squash courts, a new dance center with wood-sprung flooring, two natural turf sports fields, three tennis courts, and an aquatics center for learners up to championship level.

    Ruamrudee International School

“Ruamrudee” means “union of hearts”, which is the very ethos that this international school embodies as it teaches students the value of being in a multicultural society.

Ruamrudee International School has been offering education excellence for over 60 years and is one of the oldest international schools in Bangkok.

This is a Catholic school that offers interfaith, comprehensive, and academically rigorous learning for students to be successful, balanced, and humane individuals. It demonstrates a willingness to go beyond teaching educational values alone, and treats student development as a holistic approach.

The age range for this school is between 4 to 16 years old age.

    Food for thought

When preparing for the relocation, there is something that you need to bear in mind. There are big expenses that come with placing your children in these top-notch facilities for education. Several of these schools in Bangkok require fees that are equivalent to private learning centers located in the west.

However, if you can manage to afford these schools, they are certainly worth it, plus your children will thank you for this opportunity. I hope this has helped you decide which international school to send your child to.
