Online Gambling is Very Much Alive

Despite what many US-based punters may believe, online gambling is quite certainly very much alive and thriving. A recent statistic shows that the business of gambling continues to soar ahead possibly buoyed by the strong returns in the stock markets.

Another possible assertion in this regard is that this boom has been a long time coming.

Increasing improvements in technology and refinements in the user interface and overall user experience continue to improve as time pushes forward. The advent of the internet and the world wide web ushered in a new batch of entities racing to provide opportunities to their potential fans.

The world was then accelerated forward with the advent and rapid advancement of mobile devices which led to unprecedented access at the very tips of your finger through a device found in your pocket. Mobile devices allowed individuals to listen to music, read books, play games, and enjoy a higher level of experience. Advanced gameplay gave way to more options for more positive mobile gameplay experiences and subsequently the notion of online casino options as well.

It is no wonder that individuals are flocking to online gambling.

    Don’t Forget About Crypto

One of the latest improvements in the sector might be that of the interesting features and options presented by the cryptocurrency phenomenon that continues to sweep all over the world. Cryptocurrencies and the blockchain have added significant value to those who have adopted as a core part of their offerings.

Entities such as Jackpot City and Royal Vegas have been just a few who have utilized the integration of cryptocurrencies and exposure to the blockchain to their success.

A few of the key features offered by the integration of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain may be added levels of transparency, cost savings, alternate methods of deposits allowing for quicker and better payment processing and other compelling benefits.

Users get to experience even more convenience, safety, transparency and simplicity with new improvements in online gambling.

    General Gaming is Quite Compelling

It only makes sense for rapid advancements in technology to spill over the gambling sector, a sector that is a source of fun and entertainment for a large part of the world’s population. One can see that it would be confusing to see a lack of an improvement in gambling with all of the interest and resources that surround such a sector. Popular mobile games led the way and made quite an impact on people’s lives. These games included Angry Birds, Minecraft Pocket Edition, Evoland, Iron Marines, Candy Crush Saga, Final Fantasy XV pocket edition, Fire Emblem Heroes, Fortnite Battle Royale, Clash of Clans, Pokemon Go, and Fortnite, and these are just some of the games that have come out in the recent past.

As such, the technology was certainly bound to improve the experience and the lives of punters across with compelling gambling games as well.

Let us take a look at a major market for online gambling.

Brexit, Mouvement des gilets jaunes, Bonds and Punters

If you were not able to guess, the place that we speak of is the EU. The EU, believe it or not, is one of the top regions for interest in online gambling. Everyone can agree that the EU possesses a large economy being that it contains many different nations but many may be surprised that online gambling is a key economic sector in the EU.

What may be even more intriguing is that her Majesty’s country, Britain or the United Kingdom, is known to have an insatiable appetite for online gambling. The country serves as one of the largest nations with a gambling sector, not just within the EU but in the world.

The reason for this is certainly that of the contribution of technology but even more so, the more leniency presented by the regulators within the region.

Here are a few changes some of these countries have made.

    Sweden

In the first half of 2019, Swedish officials decided it was time to conduct licensed gambling and do away with the stringent monopoly present within the land. The government preferred to have more control over the gambling sector and have it conducted in an orderly and reasonable fashion.

It seemed that the government had no choice, the internet, the world wide web and other technologies combined to penetrate society and chip away at the monopoly that was present since the 1940s.

With the legislation, the country would be able to align with popular online gambling entities such as Kindred Group and Betsson, which were foreign companies.

For Sweden, embracing online gambling and providing for more open licensing made for the increase of government revenues through taxation. This is just one compelling example of how online gambling has penetrated nations across the world and have helped to influence beneficial laws in favor of online gambling.

    Netherlands

Another European nation that is in the process of improving regulation to improve gambling experiences is that of the Netherlands. They have passed a remote gambling bill and is in the process of implementing it over the course of the next few years.

The interest of both players and legislators in the field of online gambling is expected to continue to grow over time. With the added convenience, continuous improvements in technology, and the cooperation of legislators, one can see that there is no stopping this segment.
