Program Assistant for Student Work Programs-Lewis-Clark State College
LC State invites applications for the position of Program Assistant for Student Work Programs.
Salary and rank are based on experience and qualifications: $49,754 – $53,000
Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Required Qualifications:
– Experience with career development, career education, or staff supervision
– Experience working with databases.
– Excellent organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s preferred from a regionally accredited college/university.
– Work experience in higher education.
– Experience using situational awareness to provide excellent and adaptable customer service in a variety of situations.
– Flexibility to work in an open office environment and actively collaborate with other staff members.
Responsibilities:
– Managing the Work Scholar program,
– Managing the Federal, State, and JOB Work-Study programs,
– Developing and presenting training materials for aid-based student work programs,
– Working with internal and external employer partners and supervisors to support student workers,
– Assisting students and families with general guidance on financial aid and scholarship processes, including completing the FAFSA, scholarship, and other financial forms or documents,
– Making presentations about financial aid, scholarships, and aid-based work programs to prospective students, current students, and high school counselors,
– Creating or enhancing correspondence to students.
– Collaborating on marketing materials that promote the services in Student Financial Services
– Partnering with other office staff on projects and assignments,
– Serving on campus committees as needed, and
– Other duties as assigned.
– Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
