Headquartered in Milwaukee for 118 years,  Rockwell Automation is the largest company in the world that is dedicated to industrial automation and information.  The company integrates control and information across the enterprise to help industrial companies and their people be  more productive and sustainable. With expertise and leadership gained from a distinguished career of progressive experiences, the qualified candidate  will hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration or a closely related discipline. Required qualifications also include a  strong publication record in premier journals and demonstrated record of exemplary teaching performance.  Candidates should also have experience or demonstrated knowledge with at least one or more aspects of digital  supply chain technologies (e.g., IoT, machine learning, connected systems, multi-echelon inventory optimization,  blockchain, robotics, cyber-security, or real-time data analytics. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong  interest in Industry 4.0 along with a track record of engagement with industry.

This is a full-time, tenured faculty position at the rank of Associate/Full Professor beginning in August 2022. The  incumbent will be expected to play a leadership role in Supply Chain and Operations Management research and  academic programs. The position also requires the incumbent to serve as the Academic Director for the Connected  Systems Institute (CSI).

The position entails leading efforts to launch and then manage two new master’s programs: MS in Digital Supply Chain  Management and MS in Connected Systems, as well workforce development pathways and “for credit” certificate  programs offered by the Connected Systems Institute (CSI). Research and teaching in the supply chain area, particularly as it relates to tracking and tracing in supply chains using blockchains, sensors and IOT devices, supply  chain analytics, supply chain automation, and ERP systems would be preferred. Apart from teaching and research,  service to the Lubar School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is also expected of the incumbent in this  position.
